About Clara
I am an experienced freelance film, television and commercials production designer and have worked across a large variety of productions both here in the UK and abroad.
I am talented designer who enjoys creating exciting total environments for the actors to inhabit and the directors to shoot in, that enhance the theme and meaning of the storytelling, I thrive on the challenges that each new job brings. In terms of the budget I'm highly experienced at allocation for maximum visual impact, I have an outstanding Art Department in place and I collaborated successfully with CGI, Special Effects and Stunt departments.
I have just finished as HOD on a Sky Drama series and am currently in design delelopment for a major feature hoping to start pre production early next year
Formally I was Head of Design at ITV for 3 years where my design experiences were diverse and stimulating.
I have worked on two Feature films - 'Eliminators’ for Paramount Pictures directed by John Dunn and ‘Reinventing Eddie’ directed by Jim Doyle.
I was Art Director on the drama series ‘Jonathan Creek’ that won a BAFTA for Best Production Design and last year my episodes on ‘Holby City’ were nominated for a BAFTA. A short "Madeleine” that I worked on last year 'Madeleine" is about to be made into a feature film.
